Alexandra Mauriello is a designer and writer based in North Carolina. Her work explores the intersections of material culture, digital archiving, urban memory, and narrative systems. She is particularly interested in how design mediates perception, encodes ideology, and shapes social experience.
She holds degrees in Communications, Graphic & Information Design, and Visual Design. Her research interests span contemporary design theory, postmodernism, 20th–21st century aesthetics, and the temporal dimensions of storytelling.
Outside her practice, she collects vintage art books and postcards, documents regional ephemera, and writes short nonfiction and poetic texts on memory, identity, and meaning-making. She is especially drawn to curatorial research, editorial design, and narrative frameworks within cultural institutions and design-driven environments.
